Clinical Supervision Retreat 2021

Need to get away? But also need to get clinical supervision hours?  Here's your chance to get both of these needs met at Amber's first ever Clinical Supervision Retreat! Come up for the day - or for the whole weekend - to a quiet oasis home on the Sultan River where you will listen to the soothing river while engaging in group clinical supervision.  We will get at least six hours of group supervision completed on Saturday.  You can toast marshmallows over the campfire, watch the birds from the deck, eat delicious food, drink yummy drinks, all while consulting about your HAES practice.

This is a fun, playful, and relaxing way for HAES clinicians to meet, to build community, and to get those clinical supervision hours completed.

The Space:

Amber rented an Airbnb for this retreat. Here is how the space is described on the site:

"The house is located in a quiet neighborhood two miles from downtown Sultan. You are going to enjoy the comfort and beauty of this modern house, with its 3 bedrooms, two bedrooms with queen size beds and one with two twin beds. All the furniture is new and very comfy. The TV has Netflix , and there's an Echo Dot music player, a fully equipped kitchen, and a Jacuzzi tub in one of the two bathrooms. The dining room accommodates six guests, on the patio you will find an outdoor table and six chairs to enjoy the sound of the river, there's also another table and two chairs near the riverside fire pit. There are quite a few hiking trails in the area, from short hikes to the stunning Deception Falls, the trail to Wallace falls, or lovely Trout Lake to difficult climbs like Alpine Lakes. Monroe is only 8 miles west, and there are a myriad of scenic roads throughout the area."

Food and Meals

Meal planning for a variety of folks can get real tricky and complicated. In order to keep the costs low, and to avoid having some folks pay for food that they'd never eat, we're going for a casual, relaxed, intuitive, DIY/BYO food/drink approach.

Amber will provide a pantry of staples, beverages, and snacks to use whenever you want and as you wish. You are invited to prepare meals for yourself, or to cook with/for others.  Please bring any specialized food items that you need to enjoy the weekend.  The home has a fully equipped kitchen.   There are also several local restaurants that folks could go to, pick up food from, or have food delivered from.  Google "Sultan restaurants" for more info. Here are a few websites: (http://saharapizzasultan.com/) (http://www.bubbasmenu.com/)

Food/beverages provided include bagels, cream cheese, eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruit, granola, bread, deli meats, cheese, veggies, items to make salads, chips, cookies, popcorn, pastries, items to make S'mores, frozen treats, juice, milk, coffee, wine, and beer.  Amber will likely be ordering food to be delivered or to pick up on Friday and Saturday nights, so you’re welcome to order along with her.

Cost: Additional $135 for the room for both nights (not per person, so if you bring a spouse or friend, that person is essentially “free”).
